Best Experience
Mornings are best!
The earlier the better! Manatees are most active in the morning. In the afternoon, manatees take naps or head out to the gulf to feed. Plus, the springs are quietest in the mornings. Manatees, boats, and kayaks can make for a busy springs during peak months. An early morning tour avoids the rush. The ultimate manatee magic happens at 7:30 am, 8:00 am, 11:00 am, and 11:30 am.
Cooler weather is good!
When manatees get cold, they travel inland to our warm springs. We will keep you warm with wetsuits and heated boats. Cold mornings and cooler days are great for manate viewing!
Smaller boats give manuverability!
Our 30-foot pontoon with the onboard restroom is incredible but our smaller boats give great manatee experiences! The 20-24 foot boats can get into the backwaters where the manatees live year-round. These boats still give a comfortable ride while maximizing the manatee experience.
